Cincinnati’s Home for Art and the city’s Oldest Tavern come together to offer an evening of music and more to the backdrop of the Taft’s summer “Art for All” program

The Taft Museum Art will host a Happy Hour at Arnold’s Bar & Grill in conjunction with the Museum’s 80th Anniversary Art for All public art program. On Thursday, August 30 from 5-7pm, guests can learn more about the museum while enjoying complimentary appetizers and drink specials courtesy of Patron and Ultimat. Beginning at 6:30pm, there will be a special performance by the Cincinnati-based sometimes punk, sometimes folk band The Tillers.

To celebrate its 80th anniversary, the Taft Museum of Art placed framed reproductions of 80 works from its collection in the streets and outdoor spaces of the Cincinnati metro area. In the courtyard at Arnold’s Bar & Grill, the reproduction Interior of an Inn with Three Men and a Boy by Adriaen van Ostade can be found on display. The open-air gallery is a gift from the Taft to remind the public of Charles and Anna Taft’s donation of their home and art collection 80 years ago and to say thanks to the public for their continued support of the museum. Art for All reproductions will remain on display through September 2012.

Art for All is generously sponsored by The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation. For more information about the program and to find maps of the reproductions on display, visit http://www.taftmuseum.org.
