gallery One One Announces shape:CIRCLE Call for Entry

Brazee Street Studios’ gallery One One has opened its annual summer call for entry. For the last 3 years, the Summer group show at gallery One One has focused on Color through the “hue” exhibitions. This year’s exhibit shifts away from the focus on color and instead highlighs another design element- SHAPE.
Shape:CIRCLE will be a shop-like exhibition with functional and non-functional items alike. The call is open to artists, designers and craftsman across all mediums. The idea behind shape:CIRCLE is to create an immersive exhibition, through CIRCULAR artwork. Circles can be reflected in the building blocks of forms, in the rim of a vessel, or as compositional shapes in paintings.
Artist submissions for shape:CIRCLE should include an artist statement, $30 submission fee, 3-5 images submitted as jpgs no larger than 300dpi or 10” in any direction, and a spec list includeing artwork dimensions, material, year made and prices. Submissions may be sent via email to [email protected]. All entries will be reviewed by a panel of jurors, with notifications being mailed on April 18th.
All entries must be postmarked by April 14, 2014. shape:CIRCLE will open in gallery One One with a reception on May 9, 2014 during Oakley After Hours and be on display through June 4, 2014.
