The 5th International Painting Annual
A Juried Annual Publication of Works of Recent Painting
CASH PRIZE AWARDS ARE NOW DOUBLED!
NOTE: As this is a BOOK project, works that are not otherwise available (i.e. physically) may still be submitted for consideration. All that is required of accepted artists is a print-quality hi-res digital image of accepted works. All published artists receive a complimentary copy of the finished book.
The International PAINTING Annual (INPA) is a project of Manifest Press, and a complementary project to the award-winning International Drawing Annual project (INDA) which was launched in 2005 and the award-winning International Photography Annual (INPHA) launched in 2012. The goal of the INPA is to support the recognition, documentation, and publication of excellent, current, and relevant works of painting from around the world in a valuable non-commercial context. As a carefully crafted high-end book, the INPA enables Manifest to assemble a diverse array of works from around the world, without the limitation of physical availability, gallery space, or shipping logistics. Manifest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our book projects complement our gallery exhibition program by expanding our inquiry into the creative efforts of artists working today, and serve to document the exceptional results for posterity, distributing the unique collection of artists and works in each book around the world.
A wide variety of approaches to painting are encouraged for submission, including a range of painting types, from the most academic to the most experimental, but all with some relevance to the artists’ honest understanding of the practice of painting. Works that challenge the common notion that painting must be made with paint are also welcome.
