Cincinnati artist, Kent Krugh, is embarking on a journey to Medellin, Colombia to participate in a two week photography workshop (Zoomlab) in July of this year, teaching undergrad and grad college students. This workshop includes mentoring and advising students as they prepare portfolios for credit and exhibition.
This workshop is coordinated by Centro Colombo Americano, a non-profit organization in Medelllin, Colombia. According to their website “The Centro Colombo Americano de Medellín is a non-profit cultural organization where human development is promoted through programs and services that foster the exchange of knowledge among Colombia, the United States and other countries”.
Part of the program also includes visiting eight local high schools in Medellin, at which Krugh and three other artists will give lectures. Krugh will also have several of his tree prints on display at a couple of exhibits in Medellin through November.
